A Tease In Her Comfort Zone

Photobucket

Dear Comfort Zone,
Just because you're cheap doesn't mean that you're not nice. You've got some great quality and I think you're pretty. We should spend more time together. I hear you work well with Tease, so we should get along.

I used both lid colors and the browbone shade on the left for this look.

I used:
Comfort Zone palette- Wet N Wild
Tease- Brazen Cosmetics
Physicians Formula Organic Wear Jumbo Lash Mascara
Too Faced Shadow Insurance

All photos in natural light.

I'm thinking of calling the Physicians Formula Organic Wear Jumbo Lash Mascara "The Giant Shiny Leaf Mascara" from now on, because I always forget what it's called.

Breathless Swatches

Continuing on the Brazen-fest train, here are swatches of Brazen Cosmetics' Breathless lip gloss.
Photos in natural light, click to make them gigantic and more color-accurate.

Although Breathless can be applied in various levels of opacity, it's more of a difference in sparkle levels than actual color.

Less Sparkle:

MOAR SPARKLE!
...ahem. I mean, More Sparkle:

Muah!

Despite the massive sparkle, I don't recall noticing the gloss feeling gritty.

Time to crank out a few posts...

I have such a backlog of things to post, so I'm just going to attempt to crank out the posts over the next few days. Here's a look from a while ago, primarily using- you guessed it- Brazen.

Click to make bigger and more color-accurate.
Photo in natural light.

I used:
Spectacle- Brazen Cosmetics
and the pink is either Tease or Show Off from Brazen
Physicians Formula Organic Wear Jumbo Lash Mascara (that name sure is a mouthful)
Too Faced Shadow Insurance

Side note:
I'm moderately obsessed with warm, glowy, peach and coral colors these days. What are your favorite peach and/or coral cosmetics?

Versatile Blogger Award!

Amanda from Glitters and Bubbles gave Amanda from Glitter and Toucans a blog award! Please note the similarities in our names, it cracks me up.
Thanks, Amanda!

Seven things about me:

1.  I squealed audibly when the toucans came on the screen during the movie Rio. I saw it last night and loved it. So many pretty birds!

2. I went skiing for the first time last weekend. Let's just say that it's a good thing that I'm comfortable falling down. I had a blast, though!

3. I love socks. I adore Sock Dreams and am glad that I visit Portland frequently enough to visit the brick and mortar store in addition to the website.

4.  I'm a big fan of glitter vinyl.

5.  My favorite blush at the moment is Super Orgasm from Nars.

6. One of my favorite scents is lavender. I also like the way lavender tastes.

7. Purple makes me happy.

I'm about ready to fall asleep on my keyboard, so I'll come back and add my three bloggers to pass this along to later.

What a busy week!

Sorry for being MIA this past week, but I was insanely busy with this part of my life...

Yep, that's me oboe-ing it up. This photo is actually from a concerto I played a few years ago.
This past week was exhilarating, and one particular solo performance was my best ever by leaps and bounds. I was on a total music high for about a day after that one.

Normal posting should resume shortly, now that my musical commitments are back to their usual level. Although the past week was exhausting in it's intensity, part of me is sad it's over.

Brazen Passion Pot Face-Off: Cherry Bomb vs. Make Out

I know, I know. All I ever post these days is Brazen lip gloss. But I figure a comparison of Make Out and Cherry Bomb might be helpful to at least a few people.
I usually don't upload my photos directly to blogger, but I will today for the sake of time. I apologize if the formatting is wonky or anything. Click to make them enormous- the colors are so much more accurate that way.

Cherry Bomb is on the left, Make Out on the right.
All photos natural light unless otherwise noted.

Flash!

Sheered out, it's more apparent that Cherry Bomb is a cooler-based color.

In conclusion:
Cherry Bomb is more of a cool-toned red (although not quite what I would call a "true red"), while Make Out is pinker and warmer.  Cherry Bomb has more of a mirror-like finish (which is more apparent in the swatches here). Also, Make Out has a healthy dose of iridescent glitter.

Cherry Bomb:

Make Out:

If I HAD to choose one over the other, the winner would be Make Out. However, they're both beautiful glosses.

Hope this helps!

Vanity Swatches (Brazen Cosmetics)

Believe it or not, I still have a bunch of Brazen lip gloss swatches to share with all of you. As I've mentioned before, Sandi of Brazen sent me samples of many of her lip glosses. Here's my little colony of lippie samples:
Photobucket

I love these glosses.

In honor of in retaliation against the cold, dreary, rainy weather, I would like to present Vanity. Brazen describes Vanity as "a bright vibrant coral". While it is very pretty, I found it to be more difficult to apply evenly than the other Brazen glosses I've used. However, this is only when applying opaquely- sheer application is easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy.

La Femme

I'm currently moderately obsessed with things that are golden, shimmery, glowy, peachy and coral-y. Thus, La Femme from Brazen Cosmetics is definitely a favorite of mine right now. It's a gorgeous shimmery lipgloss.
A sample of this gloss was given to me by Sandi of Brazen.

I adore this gloss!

I have an exciting Friday night planned- freeing up space on my hard drive! That, and maybe some Mario Kart.
