I was lucky enough to receive a sneak peek of the new Aromaleigh collection, "Victoria's Revenge", and Miss K certainly outdid herself this time! I can't wait to do looks with all these fantastic colors. I got a bit picture happy with these swatches, I took a grand total of 133 pictures, yet they still don't quite capture how pretty many of the colors are.
I would also like to point out how much I love the way Aromaleigh is packaging things these days. The tissue paper and sticker are quite adorable.
Now for the swatches, all dry over Too Faced Shadow Insurance, natural light.
Starting at the top of my arm:
I ADORE Poison Utopia.
Ruthless Indulgence is another one of my favorites.
The whole swatch-covered arm:
I love how the collection has such a wide range of colors. What do you think of the collection? See anything you'll be adding to your makeup collection?

Opulent insects
Crickets and moths are classified as insects, right?
It's been quite rainy recently, and being someone who tends to bicycle everywhere, it doesn't make much sense for me to put makeup on before I enter the downpour of rain. Yesterday, the sun came out temporarily, so I quickly took the opportunity to put some eyeshadow on and take some pictures. After my last swatch session, I knew I needed to start using the opulent lustres.
All photos in natural light.
I used Moth, Lotus (opulent lustre), and Cricket.
All shadows applied over Too Faced Shadow Insurance.
Moth and Cricket are from the l'orchidee collection, and are lovely colors. I have a bit of a thing for colors that I don't know how to classify, and Moth falls under that description. It's a bit silvery, with a pinkish sheen. I can see myself reaching for this one quite frequently in the future.
The cashier at Ulta called my eyeshadow "crafty". I wasn't entirely sure what she meant by that.
What's the most interesting comment you've received in response to your makeup?

Aromaleigh Opulent Lustre swatches
The Opulent Lustre collection certainly lives up to its name. Each color changes a bit depending on how the light hits it, which I love.
Confession: I love doing swatches. Every time I swatch a collection, I find new favorites. My favorites from this collection are Bamboo, Lotus, Cloud, and Tamarind.
All swatches done dry over Too Faced Shadow Insurance, photos all in natural light.

Cascading Mariposa
This is definitely one of my favorite looks to date. I ordered Cascade and Mariposa from Aromaleigh's vault sale, which can be found here: http://blog.aromaleigh.com/dormantdream/
I also highly recommend taking a look at the Midsummer Night's Dream collection.
Both colors are gorgeous. I can't wait to do more looks with them. Mariposa is my ideal deep pink, and Cascade is a fantastic brown.
The descriptions from Miss K's blog:
Mariposa: Brilliant red/wine frost with shimmering red sparks of depth.
Cascade: Rich brownish burgundy luster with purply mauve undertones, lustrous frost. Beautiful liner/crease shade.
Both are applied dry over Too Faced Shadow Insurance.
All photos in natural light.
I also ordered several other colors, which I will be showing you soon. If there are any in particular you are interested in, let me know in the comments!
