So, as soon as I woke up this morning I made a list of the entries, went to random.org, and here's what happened:
Congratulations to Lady In A Top Hat! I'll send you an email shortly, which you will have 48 hours to reply to.
Also, I finally used my Physicians Formula gel liner last night! It was my first real attempt at using a gel liner, I ended up having my sister help me smooth things out since she uses gel liner all the time. (Yet another advantage of being home to visit family...) Next time, however, I'm determined to conquer the eyeliner on my own. I went out to a formal tea with some good friends, here I am with my almond cream and Amaretto peaches.

Something new- lips!
I'm not feeling very wordy today, so we'll just go straight to the photos.
Photos in natural light.
I used:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Italian Ice- Aromaleigh
Coney Island- Aromaleigh
Heart and Soul- Aromaleigh
Now for the lips. I'm a big fan of the Wet n Wild Mega Last lipsticks. Although they're advertised as being matte, they're not incredibly so. I'd say they're semi-matte. I like the formula, it goes on well and doesn't feel drying. I have a hard time getting clean lines with it, though. I really should try applying it with a lip brush instead of straight from the tube when I don't use a lip liner. Today, I used 908C. Most of the lip colors I own are very very red, so this shade is a bit outside my comfort zone. I was surprised by how much I like this color on me!
And now for an almost face shot:
REMINDER: my Aromaleigh giveaway ends soon, so get your entries in!

Let's start the new year off right- with a giveaway!
First of all, happy new year! Looking back over 2010, it was a very memorable year. I learned a lot and took a lot of chances, and I'm extremely happy with where I am now.
Second, it's time for my first giveaway! Miss K of Aromaleigh was kind enough to send me a sample set of Ciao Italia! to give away on my blog. Swatches of the collection are here: http://glitterandtoucans.blogspot.com/2010/08/ciao-italia-swatches.html
As you are most likely aware, Aromaleigh is closed for ordering, but there will be grab bags and raw ingredients for purchase in the future on the Aromaleigh blog (blog.aromaleigh.com).
I'll try to make this as simple as possible.
The winner will receive one Ciao Italia! sample set- unopened and full of sparkles!
The giveaway is open worldwide.
To enter:
1)You must be a follower of my blog.
2)Comment on this entry and tell me something important you learned in 2010, an amazing new experience, or something you're looking forward to in 2011, or all of the above! Let's share some wisdom, hope, happiness, and sparkle here!
3)Include your email address in your comment, so I can contact you if you win!
January 22, 2011 will be the last day I will accept entries, so get your comment in before midnight Mountain Standard Time on the 22nd. Random.org will be used to select the winner. I'll announce the winner on January 23. I will email the winner, who will then have 48 hours to respond. If the winner does not respond within 48 hours, I'll select a new winner (using random.org).
You can get up to three entries. One entry for commenting on this post as mentioned above, one entry for tweeting about the giveaway, and one entry for blogging about it. Let me know in the comments if you've blogged/tweeted, so I can put you down for the right number of entries.
Good luck, and I'm looking forward to reading your entries!
